Five Rivers Resource, Conservation & Development (RC&D) will be sponsoring the 1st Annual Country Apple Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2015 8am-3pm at The Livery Stables located in Pleasant View, TN
This festival is held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features “Everything Apples” and much more from local vendors.
Starting the day at 8am with Pancakes on the Porch $5 per plate
Vendors offering art, crafts, jewelry, food items and much more relating to apples
Best of Show Booth Voting
Porch Pickin’ & Grinnin’ Entertainment from local performers
Apple Bake-off, (Apple desserts & condiments) and Auction
Fun & Game for kids of all ages, Dunking Booth, Corn Hole, String Bobbing for Apples, Face Painting, Educational Seminars, Apple Seed Planting and more
Barn Quilt Square Fundraiser and Door Prizes
The Annual Apple Bake-off Contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. Cost is $10 to enter. There will be 4 Categories: Adult Apple Desserts, Junior Apple Desserts (12 & under), Adult Apple Condiments, & Junior Apple Condiments (12 & under)
Entries must be registered between 10:00 a.m. and 12p.m. First place winners in each category will be awarded prizes. At the end of the contest, all desserts and condiments will be auctioned.
Admission to the Country Apple Festival is FREE but there will be many vendors to buy from, other activities and concession. The festival is inside and outside and will take place rain or shine.
The Country Apple Festival is an annual event sponsored by Five Rivers RC&D a non-profit organization who volunteer their time to promote resource, conservation & development to the community welfare in the 8 counties we serve, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, & Stewart. Five Rivers RC&D offer Mini-Grants for community projects, such as picnic tables in park areas, community gardens, playground equipment etc., Barn Quilt Square Grants for individuals or business who will hang Barn Quilt Squares and be included in The Five Rivers RC&D Quilt Trail. Five Rivers RC&D also host a yearly Envirothon competition in which high school students demonstrate their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management.
